Brands can provide a detailed olfactory brief, a mood board, or benchmark target references. Our perfumers then construct exclusive fragrance formulas detailing the complete top, heart, and base notes. Every proposed concentrate is tested for solubility in the target wax or diffuser solvent base, IFRA 51st Amendment compliance, and stability under high-temperature stress tests before final client sign-off.

Navigating global chemical and cosmetic regulations is a core competency of Bougie et Senteur. For home fragrance products (candles, diffusers, sprays), we generate full CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) hazard labels, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in all required languages, UFI (Unique Formula Identifier) codes, and compliance with EU Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. For leave-on cosmetic products (massage candles, solid perfumes), our toxicologists issue complete Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR Phase A & B) and execute notifications on the European CPNP (Cosmetic Products Notification Portal) and UK SCPN portals.

European rapeseed wax represents the modern benchmark for eco-conscious luxury candles. Unlike petroleum-derived paraffin wax, rapeseed wax burns completely clean without releasing carcinogenic aromatic hydrocarbons or soot. Unlike soy wax—which is predominantly imported from North or South America and carries concerns regarding GMO crops and deforestation—our rapeseed wax is sourced locally within Europe. It possesses a higher fat density, which provides exceptional hot fragrance throw, an ultra-smooth surface finish, and eliminates frosting over time.

A standard project lifecycle progresses in two distinct phases:
1. Development & Sampling (4 to 8 weeks): Olfactory creation, laboratory sample formulation, wick burn optimization, container compatibility checks, client validation, and regulatory dossier compilation.
2. Industrial Production (5 to 8 weeks): Raw material procurement, vessel decoration, hot pouring, maturation, cell wrapping, secondary packaging, quality assurance testing, and export logistics setup.
For repeat orders on established formulas, standard manufacturing turnarounds are compressed to 4 to 6 weeks.

Yes. While we offer a wide range of standard European glass, ceramic, metal, and aluminum containers, we regularly fill proprietary vessels provided directly by our clients. Prior to mass filling, client containers undergo technical testing in our facility to verify thermal shock tolerance, interior neck diameter tolerances, surface adhesion, and proper wick anchoring stability.
